Telsiai, Lithuania (Lita)
The Higher School of Jewish Rabbis in Telšiai was founded in 1875. The current yeshiva building was built in 1910. It was one of the most famous spiritual seminaries in Eastern Europe. countries. Up to 500 students studied here at one time.
During the interwar period, Javnė, an important Jewish spiritual and Hebrew language center, operated near the Telšiai yeshiva. The Rabbinic school developed a unique concept of “Telšiai” teaching in the yeshiva, which became the basis for teaching in many orthodox Yeshivahs in the United States. 1940 After the Soviet occupation of Lithuania, the yeshiva was closed. At present, the yeshiva acts as an exhibition unit of the Samogitian Museum "Alka" and a space for various events.
Riga, Latvia
The capital of Latvia, important port and industrial center starting from the end of the 19th century. Riga is a home for Art Nouveau architecture, impressive city that attract millions of visitors every year. Beside – Riga is place rich in Jewish history and hosts amazing museums, that you surely have to see.


Sabile, Latvia
In 1890 on the right side of the river Abava a synagogue was built. It was meant for then Jewish community of Sabile, and it served its purpose till the World War II. In 1941 during the occupation of the Fascist Germany the Sabile community was destroyed. Starting from 1950, during the Soviet occupation, the building was used by the local school and the sport school. In the middle of 80s the synagogue was transferred to Sabile fruit and vegetable factory and was adjusted to a storehouse. In 2001 the reconstruction of the building started (architect Modris Liepa). Nowadays it serves as the centre of modern art and cultural heritage
Subate, Latvia
A tiny shtetl on the border of Latvia & Lithuania is a typical village that once had rich Jewish life. Nowadays the cemetery only left. But descendants from this village have started remarkable project to revive the history, clean the cemetery and promote Jewish culture via various cultural events. This village every summer have a Jewish Sunday event that attracts local population and visitors from all over Lithuania and Latvia.
